Are we like JONAH??

Hope u are all doing great, really miss u Guys.....

Well, I was reading the book of Jonah 1 or 2 months back and just
a couple of weeks back my pastor was preaching on Jonah too.

Something I learn here is that we have to respond and obey God when we hear HIM.

Jonah was asked by God to go the Nineveh to get the people to
repent but Jonah refused to obey God and chosed to run away.
And the story tells us of what Jonah went through. Being
swallowed by a big fish and was in the belly of the fish for
3 days & 3 nights.

If you read through the whole book you will realise that God
has spoken to Jonah through many channels. At first, God spoke
to him direct but Jonah refuse to listen and respond by running away.
Secondly, when the ship that Jonah was on was broken up by the
mighty tempest, the captain of the ship came and asked him to call
upon God and yet he chosed to be thrown into the sea. It was only
until he was in the belly of the fish that he realised he really needs
to cry out to God.

Manytimes, we have heard from God telling us to do certain things
but we refused to obey as it is something that we are not in favor of.
We just act blurr and wish that somehow God will forget about it.
Not only until we begin to face crisis or challenges in life then we
know that we have no other choice but to cry out to God for
repentance and help. If we have choosen to listen and do what
God has asked us to when we first heard Him then we may not
have to go through these sufferings.

Friends, lets really make a decision to respond to God fast. There is
always a reason why God wants us to do certain things don't wait
till its too late....
